The experience was fantastic as expected: hundreds of poeople (PhD students and researchers), very prepared teachers (my course, Panel Data Analysis of Microdata is taught by Mark Bryan), and great organization of lectures (great material, with long additional bibliography, and daily lab session on what just done in class). The city is not the best one ever seen, but at the end I was there to work out my ass and not to have a holiday. However, social events are organized and held each day (e.g., plenary sessions, trips, soccer games, cinema evening, etc…).

If you ever want to improve your research skills, have a great time, and meet other fellow researchers (who knows, maybe in the future this will also be of any help to you) altogether, you should definetly take part to one (or more?) of the classes offered by the Essex Summer Course in Social Science Data Analysis.
